Serena and Alicia are both lifelong dedicated dog owners and animal lovers who enjoy all the quirks that make pets unique, interesting and fun to photograph.
Dog ownership was the reason Serena first picked up a camera and started shooting away. As the love for her gorgeous boy, Rocco the Bullmastiff, grew, so did her love of photography. In just four short years, Serena has twice won Queensland Emerging Photographer of the Year at the Qld Professional Photography awards as well as placing second in the 2011 WPPI awards in Las Vegas in the Pet/Animal category then followed that up with an amazing album containing photos of dachshund Ralph which also achieved second place in the open album category.
Serena's work has a huge online following around the world and her work is regularly pinned on pinterest. Many of her images have been purchased by a greeting card company and can be found where quality greeting cards are sold in the US and some parts of Europe.
Alicia was born into a family of dog breeders, judges and exhibitors and is also a breeder of Pointers and still occasionally heads out to shows. Alicia was about 11 years old when she started photographing the family dogs in the backyard unaware that photography as a career was in her future.
Since then Alicia has won:
2010 Qld Illustrative Photographer of the Year
2010 WPPI First Place (open album category)
2012 WPPI First Place, Pet/Animal Photographer of the Year
2012 Qld Illustrative Photographer of the Year
2012 Qld Landscape Photographer of the Year
